The Remembers — founded January 1994

Mr.Alpha coded this debut intro for The Remembers, a group he founded in January 1994 alongside members drawn from several other outfits. The ripped music comes from Johannes Bjerregaard's "Rosanna" — one of the Danish composer's most recognizable SID tunes, preserved in the HVSC. Damon Redmond contributed the charset design. The Remembers operated as both a demo group and cracking crew, with members including coders Bungalow and Zyron alongside crackers H-Bloxx and Mr.Alpha himself. The group's existence was brief — founded in January 1994 and dissolved by February 1995 — after which Zyron transformed the remnants into Nostalgia. This intro represents the late era of C64 cracking, when most major groups had already moved on to the Amiga or disbanded entirely. Bjerregaard's compositions remained popular rip sources well into the 1990s, a testament to the enduring quality of his mid-1980s work.
